Why am I getting the error “Error: Unable to create the SQLServer object.” ?

It seems to be that you have not installed SQL Server Client Utilities on HC Primary machine. Apply this hotfix https://hostingcontroller.com/english/downloads/HotFixV61_2_1.exe install SQL Server Client Utilities and connect it with remote SQL Server. Please make sure you have provided right password for SQL Admin in HC Settings under SQL Server tab and authentication mode in SQL Server under Security tab is both “SQL Server and Windows Authentication”.
