QA Tester

Full Job Description

We are seeking a QA Tester to join our rapidly growing data center business. Your primary function is to ensure the quality of newly shipped software features and to act as the liaison for bug reports and feature requests to internal and external stakeholders.

A successful candidate will have a passion for details, breaking things and collaboration. Your daily routine will involve conversations with multiple stakeholders across the company all the way up to the executive suite. You will participate in daily standups as an equal member of a software development team and play an integral role in the delivery of enterprise quality software. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with development team to create and execute testing plans on updates to our customer portal, REST API, store, and website.
  • Conduct feature testing and regression for tasks
  • Document and communicate bugs discovered during the QA process back to the development team.
  • Manage and communicate incoming bug and feature requests from internal and external stakeholders in Jira.
  • Communicate updates on issues and feature requests to external and internal stakeholders
  • Manage release notes in Confluence for new changes.
  • Create articles in service desk knowledge-base to deflect duplicate feature requests and bug reports.
  • Contribute to tactical discussions on QA process improvements.
  • Be the point of escalation on bug reports from internal clients (bug ambassador)
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/IT or related subject preferred
  • 1-4 years QA test experience and customer service
  • Prior experience working in the hosting industry or in an IT department
  • Experience working within a software team and directly with developers
  • Experience in Quality Assurance practices in an Agile methodology environment
  • Experience with Jira, Microsoft suite, Confluence required
  • High level knowledge of Github, Jenkins, developer terminology preferred
  • Experience testing REST APIs preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail oriented, takes initiative
