Hivelocity, a cloud hosting, bare-metal server and infrastructure services provider to customers in over 130 countries, announced today plans to open a new 30,000 square foot world class data center in Tampa FL. This will be Hivelocity’s second data center in Tampa, increasing its footprint in the area to over 60,000 square feet and establishing it as one of the regions largest cloud service providers. Hivelocity employs over 50 technology experts to manage and maintain over 10,000 customer servers. The addition of this newest data center will allow the company to add another 20,000 bare-metal servers to its infrastructure over the next few years.

“We opened our flagship data center back in 2012 and within 2 years found ourselves needing to build out an additional 10,000 square feet of raised floor space to accommodate growth. Our new data center will not only give us more space for growth but also allow us to offer an expanded portfolio of enterprise hosting services for businesses large and small”, said Mike Architetto, President and CEO of Hivelocity. “We have provided our customers with 100% uptime since we opened our current data center 4 years ago. The addition of our new facility will only enhance our ability to provide never-fail infrastructure and cloud services.”

Services out of the new facility will initially include bare-metal dedicated servers, private cloud environments and colocation. Colocation solutions will be available in footprints as small as a single server to as large as a private cage or pod. Hybrid colocation services will also supplement the more traditional offering, providing customers the option to compliment their infrastructure with Hivelocity’s cloud storage and bare-metal servers without the additional CAPEX. This new facility will be staffed with systems and cloud engineers 24/7 available to support customers whenever needed.

“We are on pace for a record breaking year and are excited to enter the fourth quarter with this big announcement. As our customers’ businesses continue to grow and as we continue to grow our customer base we will need to continue expanding our available service center locations. We offer our services out of Tampa, Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles currently and intend to grow that list soon,” said Architetto.

The build out of Hivelocity’s new data center is expected to complete in Q1 of 2016. You can take an interactive tour of Hivelocity’s flagship data center at https://www.hivelocity.net/#tour. For questions or more information about Hivelocity please visit https://www.hivelocity.net/.
