This week Hivelocity, provider of Dedicated Server, VPS and Cloud hosting solutions, announced the addition of Softaculous to its list of partners and available software offered with its services. Hivelocity is offering Softaculous free of charge for the first month to anyone who signs up by the end of September. Once the free period is over Hivelocity will charge just $2 additional per month for adding the Softaculous software.

Softaculous is an auto-installer that coupled with cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin control panels makes a perfect solution for web hosting companies and web servers. Softaculous gives users access to and the ability to easily install over 215 widely used scripts and software. Joomla, WordPress, Pixie, ZenCart, osCommerce and Drupal are just a small sample of the software available to auto install with Softaculous. While this niche market used to be dominated by Fantastico, Softaculous’s steady introduction of new scripts and continuous updating of the software has recently boosted them to the top of this market.

“We are very excited to offer this great solution with our hosting services. Hivelocity is all about making life easier for our customers and Softaculous is specifically designed to do just that. With just a few mouse clicks our customers have access to hundreds of tools to help them succeed and grow their online presence. Softaculous is a great product and we are proud to offer it to our customers,” says Hivelocity General Manager Steve Eschweiler.

Hivelocity provides dedicated servers and cloud hosted solutions to customers from over 100 countries worldwide. Hivelocity recently opened a new data center in Tampa Florida where it is headquartered. With the introduction of Softaculous Hivelocity also announced it will no longer be offering Fantastico as an option to its customers.
