Historically Hivelocity has prided itself on being able to provision any of over 1000 dedicated server configurations in 4 hour or less. With today’s announcement they have raised the stakes and are now offering 7 minute deployments of their most popular servers. Once payment is completed, with a simple mouse-click the pre-built and already racked server gets configured to the customer’s specifications and within minutes is available and ready for use.
Hivelocity will continue to place a high priority on flexibility and keeping an extensive inventory of available server configurations available within 4 hours. The idea is to offset the amount of manual deployments required every day by making only the most popular configurations available via the auto-provisioning feature. “The only downside to the 7 minute servers is those customers don’t get to experience our live order-tracker application and will miss out on watching us on the live stream rack their server for the first time,” says Hivelocity’s Sales Manager, Drew Adams.
