Sasha is the Manager of Hivelocity’s Billing Team and has been a part of the Hivelocity family for over 10 years. Sasha came to us fresh out of college, having just finished her senior year at the Florida State University. Back in 2004 when Sasha showed up to our door for an interview Hivelocity was only 2 years old and we were very much still finding our way. Luckily for us, Hivelocity was Sasha’s first job out of school and her threshold was high for dealing with some of the bumps every start up deals with. As she settled into her role, Hivelocity seemed to settle in right along with her. Don’t tell Sasha but this place would run about as smoothly as a government health care website if she were not around. Since we have customers in over 130 countries, some of you likely won’t get that reference… soooooo we would run as smoothly as a North Korean stock exchange, as well as a Chinese iPhone, as well as a Windows cPanel server….now do you get it? It would not be good.
At the time of Sasha’s hire back in 2004 she was the only female working at Hivelocity. Over the last year or 2 we have managed to attract a few more female employees within our organization but for a long time it was just Sasha among 40 men. It should be no surprise that her being surrounded, some might say trapped, by testosterone the last few years has led to her favorite past times being mud runs, fantasy football and playing soccer. Had it not been for that fortuitous day many years ago when she walked through our doors ,resume in hand, today she might love shopping and “Sex in the City” reruns. Doubtful, but maybe.
Sasha’s role at Hivelocity has grown each year she has been with us. She was here to add our 100th server to billing and she will be here when we add our 11,000th server in the not too distant future. Truth be told, she is likely a big reason for our success over the years. She keeps us organized, makes sure we get paid and has thrived with every challenge we have given her. If you have been a customer of Hivelocity for any period of time there is a good chance you have either exchanged an email or had a live chat with her. She is a staple in our organization and loved by employees and customers alike. Sasha works Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Treat her nice, she is in charge of your billing and making sure new dedicated server orders get deployed.
